Magic Pill

Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a magic pill that enabled us to lose weight or have boundless energy or feed our children anything and have them eat it!

I often joke with clients that if we could deliver all the nutrients a child needs in a cheerio sausage or a nugget or a cracker then there would be no "fussy" eating.

Alas resolving eating issues, like losing weight is a step-by-step, day-by-day process that requires effort and energy and we do need to eat a range of foods for optimal health.

What I love to do is to find ways to incorporate eating strategies into normal routines. Being a parent is busy enough without having to do a host of additional things. It's one of the reasons that I spend 40 or so minutes talking to parents up front - at no charge - to establish what they are currently doing.

From there it's looking for ways to get a child eating without too much additional effort on the part of parents. In fact, many of the strategies I recommend actually reduce work in the short term. Like showing families how to only serve one family meal each night - yes it is possible even with super selective eaters.

If you'd love a magic pill please get in touch. We can't deliver a jar of tablets but we can find a solution :)
